About the Role
As an Outreach Worker, you will be a key part of our Men’s Healing Stream, supporting men who may be perpetrators of family and domestic violence. Your role will involve providing mentoring, delivering community-based programs, and promoting behaviour change through culturally relevant, healing-focused work.
You’ll collaborate closely with our Justice and Community team, FDV Hub, legal supports, and other agencies to ensure a wraparound response for the men you work with, ultimately aiming to support healing, reduce harm, and increase safety for families.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of outreach education, mentoring, and programs for men.
- Assist in developing and running cultural healing programs, including Mara Pirni Men’s Bush Trips.
- Provide transport for participants to access programs and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with Department of Communities standards.
- Refer clients to appropriate external supports and work closely with the Paralegal Team.
- Participate in community events, FDV Hub meetings, and promotional activities.

You’ll Need
Essential
- Strong cultural knowledge, skills, and community networks
- Experience working with men who use violence and with FDV survivors
- Understanding of family and domestic violence issues and dynamics
- Current C or A class Driver’s Licence
- Valid Working with Children Check
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
- Current First Aid Certificate
Desirable
- Experience with WA FDV Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework
