Role Overview
We are looking for dedicated Mental Health Support Workers to join our team across multiple sites in SIL houses and community access shifts throughout the Gold Coast. The shifts and rosters vary depending on participant needs, including 1:1 and 1:2 participants on 24/7 rosters.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality support and care to the participant in accordance with their care plan.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation.
* Ensure the participant's safety and well‐being at all times.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to address behaviours of concern involving physical harm.
* Engage in meaningful activities that promote the participant's independence and quality of life.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
* Collaborate with other health‐care professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
* Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
* Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Skills and Attributes
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team workplace.
* High level of reliability and commitment to the role.
* Ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and positive approach.
* Experience and confidence in managing behaviours of concern involving physical harm.
