SAP IS-U Project Manager – Regulatory Change

My client, a leading organisation in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Project Manager to lead critical system and process changes in response to evolving regulatory requirements.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with regulatory specialists to ensure compliance with AEMO mandates and ongoing changes within the National Electricity Market (NEM). You'll oversee updates to the SAP IS-U module, manage complex technology projects, and ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of SAP IS-U system changes to align with updated legislation and market protocols.
* Collaborate with the regulatory and technical teams to translate regulatory changes into practical system solutions.
* Manage end-to-end project delivery using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
* Oversee vendor relationships to ensure optimal delivery outcomes.
* Maintain compliance with all AEMO and NEM requirements.
* Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, risk registers, and issue logs.
* Engage, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders across technical teams, executives, and external partners.
Skills & Experience
* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the NEM, market rules, and operational processes.
* System Expertise: Proven SAP IS-U experience, ideally with MSATS exposure.
* Project Management: Strong track record in delivering technology/business transformation projects in the energy or utilities sector.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Skilled at interpreting and implementing compliance requirements.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
* Risk Management: Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks.
