We are seeking a strategic Commercial Manager to play a key part in transforming supplier performance. This full-time role will give you the opportunity to use your background in retail merchandising, FMCG sales or procurement to make a real difference to our commercial strategy.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership position that requires ownership of our strategic commercial management. You will have the opportunity to mentor and develop a team of commercial leaders to drive commercial excellence through the organisation.
You will also:
* Develop strategic and analytical financial modelling to unlock business insights and opportunities across the Merchandise Buying organisation to drive profitability, efficiency and supplier value creation.
* Collaborate with buying, supply chain and other key stakeholders to enhance category performance.
* Lead trade planning negotiations in partnership with the Commercial Cost and Value team.
* Lead Supplier Management and Joint Business Planning workshops.
* Work closely with the Data Product Owner to input supplier metrics analytics into our Supplier Performance Central platform.
* Drive and grow supplier engagement within the Coles Supplier base.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Retail and/or FMCG experience, particularly in category management, sales or supplier management. They will also have demonstrated history of identifying commercially feasible and innovative solutions to problems.
