The Networking Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering network infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet business requirements, timelines, and budgets. This role involves managing network upgrades, deployments, and migrations while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end network infrastructure projects (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, wireless).
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
Coordinate with network engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements.
Manage vendor relationships and procurement of networking hardware/software.
Ensure compliance with networking standards and security best practices.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
Oversee testing, implementation, and documentation of network solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in networking projects.
Strong understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls).
Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or other major networking platforms.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Trello).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications such as PMP, CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of network security principles and compliance standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
