Where You'll Be Working

Manning Mental Health Service is made up of Care Coordination, Intake and Acute Care Teams. We operate as an acute outpatient mental health service who provide consultation, assessment, treatment and follow‑up of adults and their families within the Lower Mid North Coast community. Our service supports consumers with transition from hospital into the community through medication monitoring, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, organising of psychiatry reviews and liaising with support services. This position will be based at Forster Community Health Service.


About You

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic mental health professional who contributes strong clinical knowledge as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be directly supported by senior leaders, including the Manning Service Manager, and work closely with the broader Manning Mental Health team to deliver high‑quality, contemporary care.

You will bring sound experience in mental health practice, with an understanding of intake and early intervention, shared care models, and consumer‑ and family/carer‑focused approaches. You will apply trauma‑informed care principles in your work, build and maintain positive therapeutic and professional relationships, and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary environment to achieve the best possible outcomes for consumers and their families/carers.


Requirements

* Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and willingness to travel in the course of employment.

* An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
* This position is full time; however, job share and/or part time arrangements will be considered.
* To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
