The Caravan Hub is seeking a reliable and experienced Trailer Service Mechanic to join our workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and motivated person who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to be part of a growing business in the caravan industry. About the role
As a Caravan Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining caravan mechanical components. You will work as part of a professional workshop team to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, good attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
* Service and repair caravan trailers and related mechanical components
* Diagnose and carry out repairs to electric brake systems, wheel bearings, hubs, axles, leaf springs, coil suspension, shock absorbers, and coupling systems
* Complete mechanical checks, safety inspections, and routine servicing work
* Inspect and repair brake assemblies, suspension parts, wheel alignment issues, chassis components, and tow couplings
* Identify faults and recommend required repairs or replacement parts
* Carry out preventative maintenance and workshop repairs
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety requirements
* Maintain accurate job records and report completed work
* Assist with workshop cleanliness and organisation
* Work closely with the service team to meet deadlines and workshop priorities
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience in trailer, caravan, automotive, or mechanical servicing and repairs
* Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
* Experience working with brakes, bearings, hubs, axles, suspension systems, couplings, and trailer chassis repairs
* A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
* Good time management and organisational skills
* The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
* A safety-first attitude
* A current driver licence
* Relevant trade qualifications are preferred but not essential for the right applicant with proven experience
