Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections of various produce to identify potential signs of fruit fly infestations
* Collect and analyze samples for laboratory testing to determine the presence and severity of infestations
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections and findings to inform future control strategies
* Collaborate with farmers, community members, and other stakeholders to educate them on effective pest management practices
* Monitor and report on trends related to fruit fly populations to inform control measures
* Assist in implementing targeted pest control measures and strategies to mitigate the impact of fruit fly outbreaks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in horticulture or a related field, with a focus on pest management
* A valid National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
* Full working rights with no restrictions
* A full driver's license and willingness to operate 4WDs with trailers
