We're looking for a friendly, organised, and patient‐focused Dental Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys both clinical assisting and front‐of‐house responsibilities. You'll be the welcoming face of the practice while also supporting the dentist chairside to ensure smooth, efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical (Dental Assisting)
* Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
* Assist the dentist chairside using four‐handed dentistry techniques
* Maintain strict infection control and sterilisation protocols
* Take and process X‐rays (if qualified)
* Record patient information and treatment notes accurately
* Provide post‐treatment instructions and patient support
* Manage stock levels and organise clinical supplies
Reception / Administration (when needed)
* Greet patients and provide a warm, professional first impression
* Manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and patient enquiries
* Process payments, health fund claims, and invoices
* Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry
* Coordinate daily workflow to keep the practice running smoothly
* Support recall systems and patient follow‐up communication
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a dental assistant (preferred but not essential)
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment
* Knowledge of dental software (Exact) is an advantage
* Understanding of infection control standards
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
