Jacobs is seeking a
Senior Urban Designer
to join our Placemaking ANZ team in Sydney. This is a pivotal role designed to drive growth in the NSW market, secure new opportunities, and deliver innovative urban design solutions for critical infrastructure and public spaces. You'll play a key role in strengthening our local presence and supporting the development of sustainable, liveable cities.
* Lead urban design strategies and placemaking solutions for major projects across ANZ.
* Drive business development, leveraging client relationships to secure new work and generate opportunities for the Connected Cities team, facilitating 'pull-through' work for the broader Jacobs business.
* Prepare proposals, deliver design documentation, and provide innovative solutions.
* Support the Technical Director and Technical Lead in Placemaking to promote our urban design offering through relevant forums and industry engagement.
* Mentor junior team members and share best practices across the business.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients.
Here's what you'll need
* Strong experience in urban design, ideally within a consulting environment.
* A strategic and innovative mindset combining technical expertise and business development.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, and design tools such as Adobe Suite and BlueBeam.
* Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across teams and regions.
