The Bureau of Meteorology's Observing Operations Hub (Melbourne) are looking for a technical manager who is up for the challenge of managing the Victorian BoM RADAR network. The Victorian Radar Network is compromised of 5 radars located in Laverton, Broadmeadows, Rainbow, Yarrawonga and Bairnsdale.
The successful applicant should have a strong customer focus and will be required to liaise with stakeholder groups on technical aspects of the RADAR network, review and contribute to working documentation, prepare and deliver reports and provide technical expertise on equipment and procedures where required.
You are a leader with a passion to uplift capability, support transformation and possess outstanding communication, facilitation and influencing skills. You are a people-person, a positive communicator, who can act appropriately when guiding and mentoring other staff
To be successful in this role you will:

All members of the Observing Operations Hub team in Melbourne undertake moderate to complex network support tasks such as coordination of resources for maintenance, inspections and return to service of sophisticated technologies, advanced system diagnostics and fault finding, technical administration and providing support to teams working in remote environments.
