Community Engagement Officer - Temporary
Mackay Regional Council is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Community Engagement Officer for a temporary 12 month contract.
Role Overview:
As part of the Corporate Communications and Marketing program, you will collaborate with various council directorates to devise and execute community engagement plans and strategies. Your responsibilities will include facilitating engagement on diverse topics such as policy development, program delivery, major projects, and service provision.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of effectively consulting, engaging, and influencing a broad spectrum of audiences. You thrive in autonomy, possess lateral thinking abilities to tackle challenges, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and excel in dynamic environments.
To succeed in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or minimum 2 years' experience in communications related role. Proven experience working in community communications particularly stakeholder engagement and projects.
