The Scheduler - LPC ensures adequate staffing of Nurses and STNAs within the life plan community, adhering to company standards and all relevant regulations. Responsibilities include compiling payroll and HR information, maintaining attendance records, organizing schedules, and providing clerical support to the Nursing Department.
Essential Activities and Tasks (35%)
* Use scheduling systems to prepare and adjust the Nursing Department schedule based on staff availability.
* Participate in staff orientation, in-services, and continuing education as requested.
Quality and Compliance Management (35%)
* Generate reports and evaluate data entry accuracy using computer systems.
* Assist with data verification and payroll processes, ensuring current and accurate staff records.
* Complete scheduling requirements while minimizing overtime.
Communication (30%)
* Ensure accurate and timely communication related to scheduling.
* Distribute staff itineraries, respond to scheduling calls, and develop relationships with staff and contract personnel.
* Report staffing issues and concerns to nursing leadership.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum of two years of scheduling experience; experience in long-term care and direct patient care preferred.
Other Requirements
* Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Working Conditions and Special Requirements
* Sitting up to 8 hours/day, standing and walking up to 4 hours/day.
* Lifting up to 25 pounds, on-call availability 24/7 for emergencies.
* Exposure to residents/patients with various health conditions; risk category III for bloodborne diseases.
