We have multiple permanent full time opportunities at Mackay (PO3, PO2, OO5) | Mackay or Rockhampton (PO4) for your career development.


About The Role

We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate Surveying Professionals who want to make difference.

You will undertake a variety of tasks and activities, working independently or within a team environment, including conducting field surveys and investigations on behalf of the department and providing advice on surveying matters.

The work you do underpins the integrity of the State’s cadastre, including undertaking surveys for Indigenous and State Land actions and priority projects, contributing to the State’s geodetic infrastructure and supporting the integration of spatial data.

All positions are permanent full or part-time and provide flexible working arrangements, work-life balance and professional development opportunities. Roles are available in Mackay and Rockhampton.

Successful applicants will need to have as a minimum:


For PO4 Senior Surveyor

* A degree (minimum) in Surveying, Spatial Sciences or a related discipline is required.
* Registered as a Cadastral Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (or the ability to become registered as a Cadastral Surveyor in Queensland via the Surveyors Board of Queensland) is mandatory.


For PO3 Surveyor and PO2 Graduate Surveyor

* A degree (minimum) in Surveying, Spatial Sciences or a related discipline is required.
* Registered with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (or the ability to become registered in Queensland via the Surveyors Board of Queensland) is mandatory.


For OO5 Survey Technical Officer

* A Certificate IV or Diploma in Surveying or currently studying a surveying qualification would be well regarded.
