About the Advisor Health Role
The Mining Health Safety team is looking for a highly skilled Advisor Health Safety professional to join them on an 8/6 FIFO Roster based at the Roy Hill Mine.
* Coach and mentor front line leaders and workforce in physical and psychosocial risk reduction techniques, enhancing their capacity to work safely.
* Provide evidence-based advice and thought leadership to operations Superintendents, Supervisors and workforce members.
* Advocate for safety throughout the organization, attending H S meetings, pre-start meetings and other relevant sessions.
* Facilitate internal audits and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Develop and deliver data-driven safety performance reports and insights.
* Create and implement effective safety training and communication materials to support business objectives.
* Cultivate and coach elected health and safety representatives.
* Liaise with external stakeholders as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in Health Safety or Risk Management, or relevant disciplines such as Health, Social Science, Engineering, Law, or Human Resources.
* Significant experience in a similar Health Safety Advisory role within a mining or heavy industry environment.
* Demonstrated expertise in ICAM Incident Investigations, Lead Auditing and Training Previously facilitated workshops and coached leaders and H S representatives.
