As an Assistant Finance Officer you will accurately and efficiently to deliver accounts payable services, supporting the Accounts Payable Team Lead to achieve departmental targets and priorities. While contributing to a high performing team that provides reliable financial support to the Department and Hospital & Health Services.
What you'll do:
In this role, you will ensure all payments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing the accounts payable function, while meeting departmental priorities. You will complete and validate payments and retrieve required data using the Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) system, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. As a key service provider, you will also action and respond to accounts payable queries in a timely and professional manner, delivering responsive and effective support to stakeholders.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
* Has knowledge of an integrated financial management system and other software applications.
* Has knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to the accounts payable function in line with the Department of Health directives.
* Has the ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, vendors and corporate divisions stakeholders.
