About the role
Skey Enterprises is seeking a skilled Structured Cabling professional to join our expanding team in Geelong/Melbounre, VIC. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of structured cabling systems, ensuring reliable and efficient communication infrastructure for our clients.
What you'll be doing
* Design and install structured cabling solutions, including copper and fibre optic cable networks
* Conduct site surveys and assess client requirements to develop tailored cabling plans
* Terminate, test, and troubleshoot network cabling to ensure optimal performance
* Maintain and repair existing structured cabling systems
* Provide expert guidance and technical support to clients
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end cabling solutions
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance, preferably within the telecommunications industry
* Strong technical knowledge of copper and fibre optic cabling, network infrastructure, and industry standards
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve cabling issues
* Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and collaborate with team members
* Certification in structured cabling or relevant telecommunications qualifications
* A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required
