Job Title: Accounts & Finance Coordinator (Construction)


Key Role in Construction Finance

This role plays a vital part in the financial management of multiple construction projects. It works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to provide accurate reporting, forecasting, and operational support across the business.

We're looking for someone with a solid background in construction accounting, strong financial systems knowledge, and day-to-day process management skills while contributing to broader planning and analysis.

Our company is a design-focused builder based on the Gold Coast, delivering projects across South East Queensland. We work on high-end townhouses, boutique apartment buildings, and commercial assets including childcare centres – both for external clients and our own development pipeline.

We prioritise smart systems, early coordination, and rigorous project delivery. Our team includes talent from Tier 1 backgrounds, and we take pride in delivering well-run projects without unnecessary layers.


Responsibilities

* Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, BAS preparation, payroll coordination, and general ledger entries.
* Job Costing & Cash Flow Management: Maintain project budgets and cash flow forecasts; support weekly and monthly reporting cycles and ensure real-time visibility over job performance.
* Financial Analysis & Reporting: Assist with financial planning, variance analysis, and preparation of internal reports and presentations.
* Compliance & Claims: Monitor contract claims, progress payments, retentions, and ensure financial records reflect contractual obligations.
* System Management: Use Jobpac to manage financial workflows across active projects.


Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction finance or project accounting.

Knowledge of Jobpac is highly regarded but not essential. Training will be provided.

Understanding of construction contracts, claims, and retention frameworks.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Experience producing reliable, accurate reporting under time constraints.
