UGLs Manufacturing & Maintenance business are looking for a **Training Advisor **to join our $2.3 billion New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project team based at our purpose-built maintenance facility in Kangy Angy on the NSW Central Coast. This role will be offered on a permanent contract.

The NIF project will oversee the replacement of trains carrying customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains and the South Coast. UGL will operate a new maintenance facility and provide maintenance and asset management services to the new fleet for 15 years.

**About the Role**

The Training Advisor position plays a pivotal role in the efficient and effective forecasting, planning and implementation of workforce training and competency strategies and programs to meet all legislative, regulatory, organisational and functional obligations. This position will work in partnership with all teams on site to identify and implement training plans in line with national competencies and enterprise competencies.
- Support the HSE Manager in implementing, delivering and overseeing the establishment of business targets/initiatives and performance measures for all operational / functional areas to ensure adherence to the training plan and ensure maintenance and compliance of competencies;
- Work in partnership with Site teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Engagement) to maintain the annual training plan;
- Work with stakeholders and teams to identify and develop strategies, policies, procedures and systems to improve the quality, consistency and compliance of workforce learning, training and competencies with the function in accordance with budget and future business requirements;
- Monitor and manage compliance at all levels of the business with RTO Regulatory requirement
- Identify and analyse current and future workforce capability requirements, developing appropriate strategic training delivery plans;
- Implement and govern system to ensure that all employees and contractors are effectively inducted into the organization;
- Development and facilitation of non
- accredited courses to the business unit.
- Advise & coach Operational Managers, Supervisors and workers regarding achieving compliance and best practice for Training, WHS, Rail Safety & Environmental matters when required.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of best practice adult and vocational learning practices and processes;
- Provide professional advice, explanations and recommendations to key stakeholders on employee, contractors and organizational training needs;
- Ensure requirements of Safe Work Australia and SafeWork NSW, Authority are met;
- Implementation of Training Plans and regular audits of internal processes to ensure currency of Training Plans.
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of all training and safety record requirements in accordance with internal document control policy and statutory requirements
- Coordinate and administer training cycle
- Preparation of reports for internal & external stakeholders where required
- Ensure effective document control for the business to meet business needs including those required under ISO accreditation.

**About You**
- Relevant tertiary or degree level qualifications;
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment;
- Experience with SAP desirable;
- Proficient skills in Microsoft suite: Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Access;
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean philosophy, tools and techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
- Project Management experience
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment
- Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven
- Demonstrated ability to work in an integrated team environment and willingness to learn.
