Operational Support Role
The Australian Institute of Architects is seeking an administrative professional to provide operational and logistical support. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, coordinating member services, supporting event delivery, and maintaining governance processes.
This role will be based onsite in our Canberra office, providing a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage front of house and reception, delivering exceptional customer service to members
* Provide comprehensive administrative support across all office functions, including meeting coordination, calendar management, filing, correspondence, reporting, and preparing briefing materials
* Handle member enquiries, assist with member event coordination, provide on-site event assistance
* Support member communication processes and membership services, including applications, renewals, member portal support, and maintaining accurate member data
* Oversee budget administration and expense processing, coordinate office operations, equipment maintenance, and supplier relationships
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field or a combination of experience and training
* Experience in operations coordination, member services, or administrative support, preferably within professional associations, membership organisations, or government relations
* Skills in event coordination, office management, budget administration, and committee/governance support
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent customer service and organisational abilities
