Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Project Coordinator to oversee and manage key residential construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Project Coordinator at Velvet Homes, you will be a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the coordination and management of residential construction projects, from inception to completion.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met in a timely manner.
* Work with project teams to monitor and control project progress, identifying potential risks or delays and developing strategies to address them.
* Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements and expectations are met, providing regular updates on project status.
* Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
* Prepare and review project documentation, specification, and reports and collaborate with team members
* Assist with the procurement process for project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the project.
* Handle day-to-day administrative tasks related to project management, including record keeping and report generation.
* Provide support in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and reporting on financial progress.
Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant study in Project Management, administration, construction, civil or other similar fields, or equivalent work experience as a Project Coordinator/Administrator or in a similar role in the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of project management principles and processes.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Ability to solve problems and think critically under pressure.
* A proactive approach to managing projects and delivering results.
