General Assistant - Seasonal until 31st October ****
dnata Catering UK is actively seeking seasonal General Assistants to join our successful and vibrant team at Newcastle Airport. As a General Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that catering and goods arrive on time with our airline customers in line with scheduling requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare and plate food in production
Handle packed food goods
Pack amenity kits and flight condiments
Operate and maintain catering equipment
Stack shelves and rotate stock
Re-order dry stock
Perform general cleaning and waste removal
Clean airline equipment to industry standards
Search and seal: inspect goods ensuring no prohibited items
Check stock for damages
Complete related paperwork
Qualifications
Ability to handle pork and alcohol products
Capacity to stand for long periods and possess good mobility
Experience working in a chilled environment
Basic understanding of English (reading and speaking)
