We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Nowra team. Position is Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm.
1 x Temporary Full Time until 5 July 2026
1 x Temporary Part Time 24 hours per week until 25 January 2026
Responsibilities
- The Dental Assistant Grade 1 has successfully completed a nationally recognised Dental Assisting Certificate course at Certificate Level III or qualifications deemed by the Ministry of Health to be equivalent.
- Unqualified but experienced dental assistants can be employed as Dental Assistants Grade 1. Such employees commence and remain on Grade 1 year 1 until they obtain formal qualifications through study or recognition of prior learning.
- The position undertakes dental assisting duties within Adult and Child Services.
Qualifications
- Nationally recognised Dental Assisting Certificate Level III or equivalent (as deemed by the Ministry of Health).
- Unqualified but experienced dental assistants may be employed as Dental Assistants Grade 1 (year 1 until formal qualifications are obtained).
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
Position Details
- Position is a temporary parental leave relief until 5 July 2026 with the possibility of extension at same or reduced hours.
- Location: Nowra area within ISLHD (Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District).
- Grade: Dental Assistant Grade 1.
