Due to continued growth, Banhams WA is seeking afully qualified Fire Plumber / Sprinkler Fitter to join our Fire and Plumbing Division. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established and respected fire services provider, delivering high-quality fire protection and plumbing services across a diverse client base.
Opportunities are available for both Sprinkler Fitters and fully qualified Plumbers.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for theinspection, testing, servicing, maintenance and rectification of fire protection systems across a range of commercial and industrial sites throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
You will work both independently and as part of a skilled and supportive team, delivering compliant, high-quality fire system outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, inspect, test and rectify fire protection systems in accordance with AS 1851
* Work on systems including sprinklers, fire pumps, water storage tanks, fire hose reels and fire hydrants
* Carry out installation and modification works in line with relevant standards (AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 2441, AS 2941)
* Accurately complete job documentation and reports using digital systems
* Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and internal teams
* Identify non-compliances and complete rectification works as required
* Participate in infrequent weekend work and a rostered on-call service
* Fully qualified Plumber and/or Sprinkler Fitter
* Proven experience in fire protection servicing, maintenance and installation
* Strong working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
* Ability to work independently and manage jobs end to end
* High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance
* Confidence using digital reporting software
* Current White Card
* Certificate III in Fire Protection or equivalent
* Experience working across additional fire services systems
* Willingness to learn other product areas within theBanhams Group, including commercial hydraulic pump systems and underwater ROV inspection services (training provided)
