Boilermaker / Welder
A job opportunity has become available to join a busy workshop in Tasmania.
* Job Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications to fabricate and assemble equipment
* Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques and equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
* Operate cutting equipment, such as plasma cutters and oxy-acetylene torches, to cut and shape metal components
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
Key Requirements:
* Possess proven experience as a Boilermaker or Welder with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role - especially heavy metal industry
* Hold a valid Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification
* Be proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications
* Have skills in using a range of welding equipment and techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
