TORQUAY TAPHOUSE kitchen team is growing. We are seeking skillful and passionate chefs with Chef de Partie or Demi Chef experience to join our exceptional existing team.
We require a minimum of 2 years of Chef de Partie or Demi Chef experience.
In this role, you will be working in all aspects of our culinary operations, ensuring we deliver an exceptional dining experience that complements our award-winning craft beers.
Our kitchen team will be the envy of other kitchens, where enjoyment at work is palpable and this is noticeable for patrons feeling the quality and love in the food that they receive.
At our high volume venue that will be accommodating a variety of service styles from A La Carte, function packages and event service, you will be a big part of ensuring the quality of experience that will have people coming back for more!
Previous high-volume kitchen experience is preferred for this role.
Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Mise en Place: Set up and organize stations before service begins.
- Station Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of their assigned station.
- Order Management: Manage the timely preparation of orders during service.
- Ingredient Handling: Ensure proper handling, storage, and labelling of ingredients.
- Team Coordination: Work collaboratively with other line cooks and kitchen staff.
- Quality Control: Ensure the presentation and taste of dishes meet the restaurant's standards.
- Clean-Up: Assist with cleaning duties as required, including post-service cleaning.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and front-of-house staff.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow all kitchen policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to take on various tasks as needed.
- Personal Hygiene: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in the kitchen.
