The Opportunity
Securecorp is currently seeking a professional and experienced Security Supervisor to join our dedicated team at a prestigious corporate and manufacturing site located in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role within a high-profile environment, supporting one of our valued clients.
This is a key frontline leadership role—ideal for an operations-focused supervisor with strong integrity, an innovative, improvement mindset, and a collaborative style to lead a 14-person team.
This role offers a strong commitment to continuous professional development, including supported opportunities to complete a relevant tertiary qualification.
In this role, you will report to both the Senior Security Manager – Operations and the Securecorp Business Manager, with overall responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of the site, its staff, and visitors. You will lead a team of security professionals while driving operational excellence and fostering a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support, and mentor a team of Control Room Officers to ensure high levels of performance, training, and motivation.
* Oversee daily security operations including access control, CCTV monitoring, patrolling, and incident management.
* Manage site rosters and workforce coverage to ensure contractual requirements are met, while monitoring and supporting site and team KPIs to drive performance and operational outcomes.
* Serve as the primary on-site contact for all security-related matters, collaborating closely with client leadership and internal stakeholders.
* Develop and refine site-specific security procedures to reduce risk and enhance operational efficiency.
* Conduct regular team briefings, drills, and training sessions to ensure preparedness and compliance.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports and daily activity logs.
* Perform thorough investigations as required.
* Ensure compliance with Securecorp's policies, procedures, and the client's global security standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leader position within a complex facility.
* Strong people-management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team of officers
* High levels of integrity, professionalism, and resilience
* A collaborative working style and the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
* Sound operational judgement and the confidence to make decisions in dynamic situations
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including incident reporting and stakeholder updates
* A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions
* Hold a current and valid VIC Security Licence and Drivers Licence.
* First Aid and CPR certification (current).
* Evidence of annual Influenza vaccination and Hepatitis B vaccination (mandatory).
