The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Draftsperson / Architectural Technician who thrives in technical documentation and enjoys translating design concepts into clear, coordinated, buildable documentation.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, detail, and documentation excellence, and who enjoys working closely with architects, consultants, and construction teams within an integrated design and build environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Prepare accurate and coordinated documentation packages across all project stages, with a strong focus on Design Development and Detailed Documentation.
•Develop clear, precise and well-coordinated technical documentation aligned with design intent.
•Coordinate consultant documentation and resolve clashes.
•Ensure documentation complies with NCC, Australian Standards, and relevant regulations.
•Assist in responding to RFIs and providing technical support during construction.
•Contribute to buildability reviews alongside the pre-construction and site teams.
•Maintain drawing standards, quality control processes, and internal systems.
•Support continuous improvement of documentation workflows and BIM capability within the team.
Skills & Experience
•Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Building Design, Drafting, or equivalent qualification.
•5+ years' experience in architectural drafting, preferably across residential and commercial projects.
•Strong working knowledge of NCC (2022), Australian Standards, and contemporary construction methods.
•High proficiency in AutoCAD, with Sketchup experience looked upon favourably.
•Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving ability.
•Experience working within D&C environments
•Ability to manage time effectively and contribute to multiple projects concurrently.
•Clear and confident communication skills with consultants and internal teams.
