An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated customer service professional to join the ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street team, as their next Group and Sales Coordinator.
**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, your responsibilities will include:
- Handling all administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department
- Assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing to coordinate the department's activities
- Selling, quoting and coordinating group accommodation bookings as well as meetings and events
- Full customer service from event order, management of the event and appropriate after function follow up.
- Maintain database of contacts
- Liaise with Kitchen and Food and Beverage departments to ensure client requirements/special requests are achieved
- Communicate effectively with the Revenue Manager regarding group accommodation rates
**Qualifications**:
- Awareness of the local Brisbane market regarding events, economic development and current rates
- High level of attention to detail
- Customer service focus to ensure a fabulous experience is had by all
- Opera Cloud experience desirable
- Exceptional communication and sales skills with the ability to understand customer needs quickly and efficiently
- Previous meetings and events sales experience is advantageous but not essential
- A Hotel experience background is desired but not essential
