How will you contribute
We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, Corporate, Experience and Strategy.
As a member of the Office Executive, you will communicate and execute on the Audit Office vision, purpose, values, goals and strategies.
In this role you will lead the branch overseeing strategy, communications, operations, people and technology.
You will also provide strategic advice to the Deputy Auditor-General, Auditor-General and Office Executive on all branch matters.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the needs of the organisation in delivering its mandate, and deliver corporate support services that meet these needs, including analysing operations to identify opportunities to improve processes, create efficiencies and work better across functions.
Ensure effective strategies and processes are in place within the Corporate, Experience and Strategy (CES) Branch to: achieve agreed objectives, deliver valued and sustainable services, comply with legislative requirements and manage relevant risks
Manage the Audit Office strategic planning processes and providing high-level professional leadership to achieve the Audit Office's vision, purpose, values, goals and strategies and deliver strategic objectives as agreed and assume responsibility for specific change initiatives.
Support the Auditor-General, Deputy Auditor-General and Office Executive on the Office's change management strategies to deliver the Audit Office of the future.
Deliver an IT strategy and gold-standard information security architecture, ensure our technology is up to date and compliant, our infrastructure is appropriate, and our systems and processes enable the delivery of Audit Office core functions.
Develop strategies to align workforce capability and capacity with the Audit Office's current and future priorities and objectives,
Identify and implement strategies to deliver workplace wellbeing and diversity initiatives to support an inclusive and constructive office culture.
Work consultatively with other branches to evolve and uplift our digital records, document collaboration and report production environment
Develop and maintain office wide policies that promote compliance with legislative, administrative and professional requirements relevant to the CES Branch responsibilities.
Ensure appropriate business continuity and disaster recovery processes and practices are in place to guarantee the Audit Office's ability to continue operations in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
When the need arises, take a leadership role in initiating those activities.

What will you need to succeed?
To be successful in this role you will need a leadership approach that is collaborative in style and a track record of delivering integrated corporate services and strategy as a strategic enabler for the organisation.
You will also need:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
Understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards and policies, practices and processes.
Sound understanding of information management and technology solutions and processes from a professional services business perspective.
Demonstrated experience in managing the diverse portfolios managed by this role.
Australian permanent resident or citizen or New Zealand citizen.
Successful police, bankruptcy and formal qualifications checks.

The total remuneration package (including superannuation) for this role starts at $279,079 per annum and rate will depend on experience, skills and capabilities.
The Audit Office is committed to supporting flexible working arrangements to create a diverse, skilled and motivated workforce capable of delivering quality products and efficient services.
Our standard way of working requires you to work at least 50% of contracted hours from either our head office, an auditee location, or a related worksite.
If required, you can balance your attendance on-site over a month, with a minimum of one day per week in one of these locations.
