KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DUTIES
AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRS & TRAINING
* Repair Electrical Parts and Systems of vehicles
* Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed
* Provide expert advice in relation to auto/mechanical condition of vehicles
* Identify and advise of any additional work required and provide labour and time estimates
* Test drive / complete inspections of work in accordance with Service Check Sheet
* Diagnose and complete repairs and adjustments using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) computer diagnostic programs and circuit wiring diagrams
* Produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order
* Ensure all work completed is to company and manufacturer quality standards, also ensuring vehicles are properly protected when work is carried out
* Explain diagnosis to service advisors / customers when required
* Ensure all customer work carried out is completed fully and efficiently the first time and clocked on/off in the DMS
* Ensure workshop area, tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained to a high standard at all times
TEAMWORK
* Work in conjunction with other team members to ensure repairs completed
* Provide support and guidance for Apprentice technicians
* Request assistance from supervisor if and when required
* Update job knowledge by participating in training and development activities as arranged.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
* Practice and promote company WHS policies and processes at all times
* Ensure equipment is regularly maintained for safe and efficient operational use
* Report all incidents, injuries and near misses to Workshop Foreman / Service Manager
OTHER
* Any other miscellaneous duties as required
