We are working exclusively with a global climate change investment and advisory firm which is entering its next phase of growth following a major strategic reset. Operating across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific, the firm works with leading corporates, governments and investors to accelerate the transition to a net zero, nature-positive and resilient future. An opportunity now exists for a Managing Director & Global Lead - Energy & Industrial Decarbonisation to build, lead and scale this critical global vertical.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, high-impact leadership role with full strategy, P&L and team accountability. The successful candidate will shape the firm's global approach to energy transition and industrial decarbonisation, lead multidisciplinary teams, and originate high-value advisory, capital and project opportunities.
The initial focus is not simply on chasing transactions, but on building a coherent, commercially disciplined business with a clear strategy and strong execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and execute the global strategy for Energy & Industrial Decarbonisation.
* Own and manage full P&L responsibility.
* Originate and convert opportunities across corporates, governments and capital providers.
* Lead, inspire and reset high-calibre teams following organisational change.
* Match capital with the right transition opportunities across advisory, capital raising and projects.
About You
* Senior leadership experience in energy transition, industrial decarbonisation, climate finance, infrastructure or adjacent sectors is a must have.
* Proven ability to build and scale businesses, not just deliver individual deals.
* Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable P&L ownership.
* Comfortable engaging with investors, banks, institutions, corporates, and government stakeholders.
* High emotional intelligence, confident operating in founder-led or entrepreneurial environments.
* Purpose-driven, but pragmatic and commercially focused.
