Your new role as an AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) will see you deliver quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to.
This role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability, and service.Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, some of the key responsibilities of this role are:Carry out maintenance on company aircraftEnsure timely and correct completion of all work carried outQuality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to releaseDelivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard Ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to.Comply with Jetstar's Safety Management SystemRequired to work at other ports (including international locations) as requiredComply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirementsBuild and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and outside service providersWe're on the hunt for someone who:Has completed Certificate IV in Aeroskills (AU or NZ equivalent), with previous A******* experience desirableHas excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and othersDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a teamHas experience in Line MaintenanceHas a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiativesHas proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; andHolds a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers LicenseWilling and able to hold a Qantas Group-issued ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) including a full international criminal clearanceWilling and able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical test prior to commencementLeadership qualities, a strong work-ethic and an inclusive mindset are valued attributes, that will provide you with opportunities to extend yourself further within Jetstar.
