Trade & Procurement Manager
As our
Trade & Procurement Manager
, you will take the lead in building, managing, and strengthening strong relationships with both our internal trade teams and our extensive network of external partners. You will drive the development of new trade partnerships while enhancing the performance and engagement of our existing suppliers.
In this role, you'll actively collaborate across UBS to ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders. You will lead contract negotiations, optimise procurement processes, and ensure our trade network consistently supports the company's goals for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
By cultivating long-lasting, high-value relationships, you will directly shape the success, performance, and growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal trades and external partners, fostering trust, collaboration, and high performance.
Oversee internal trade teams, including scheduling, resource allocation, and performance management to meet project deadlines and KPIs.
Collaborate with the Business Support team to ensure compliance, smooth contract management, and adherence to WHS and trade agreements.
Lead procurement activities, including sourcing new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring competitive pricing without compromising quality.
Monitor trade utilisation and performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Establish and maintain clear communication channels with trade partners, providing regular updates and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
Maintain reporting and review cycles to track trade performance, progress against KPIs, and opportunities for optimisation.
Attitude, Skills, and Experience
Demonstrated success in roles such as customer service, account management, project management, marketing, sales, or a technical background looking to leverage existing skills in a new role.
Commercially minded with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
Proficient in data analysis with a clear understanding of its impact on the customer journey.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organised, able to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
Strong presentation skills and ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
