About the role
ABC Civil Group are targeting a post graduate site engineer to join our dynamic team-orientated group.
The incumbent will be able to provide diverse and versatile hands-on support to our existing management team, engineers and co-coordinators in the areas of managing, tendering, planning, budgeting, scheduling, programming and reporting of projects valued from $500k - $10+ million.
The role will require the incumbent to regularly travel across the east coast of Australia, working in rural Victoria, NSW, ACT and Tasmania.
Responsibilities
Quality and document control management - preparation and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's).
Daily inspections and reporting of works progress to project management team
Shadowing to deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies/procedures
Financials including monthly reviews, progress claims, cost valuations, budgets and forecasting
Project support including programming/scheduling, contractual administration, procurement and technical aspects
Lead & support a Safety first - Zero Harm working environment
Develop and learn to maintain business relationships with all stakeholders
Assist with the growth of project coordinators and engineering team members
Tender preparation and support
Assis in holding productive project meetings with both internal & external stakeholders
Review all project-specific documentation and ensure compliance in these documents.
Monitoring project completion to program and budget
Support and assist preparing accurate project reports and provide reporting on project risks and opportunities

Skills and experience
Bachelor Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, completed in Australia
Minimum 12 months of on-site industry experience
Unlimited Australian work rights (citizen or permanent resident visa)
Australian Driver's License
Strong attitude and awareness towards safety
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment
High level of verbal and written communication skills
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Advanced problem solver and strategic thinker
Skilled in Microsoft Project and all Microsoft applications
