We're seeking passionate Lead Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) to join our brand-new hubs in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. These hubs will comprise of 3‐year‐old and 4‐year‐old kindergartens, Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and other community services, providing cohesive education and care to families. Developing strong communities of practice, the hubs will be supported by an educational leader, a variety of skilled mentors, and a unique pedagogical framework.

What will you do?
Working closely with experienced ECTs, Educators and a supportive team, you'll help deliver a high‐quality educational program that inspires young minds every day.
The Lead ECT at MACSEYE plays a dual role as the Educational Leader and senior educator within the service. They design and lead the delivery of engaging, inclusive programs while also inspiring and mentoring educators and VIT‐registered teachers, both with full and provisional registration. They ensure compliance, champion quality, and lead a reflective and collaborative learning culture. Their practice will be enriched and informed by collaboratively designed pedagogical frameworks and educational resources.
Leadership & Mentoring
Mentor and support Educators, Early Childhood Teachers, students, and volunteers to build their confidence and professional capabilities.
Compliance & Organisational Standards
Ensure documentation, planning, and practice meet the standards of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and reflect current best practices.
Working with Children
Respect and empower each child as a capable, unique individual with rights, voice, and strengths, role‐modeling inclusive and responsive practices.
Documentation & Assessment
Stay informed on emerging practices in early childhood education and use this knowledge to enrich your planning, assessments, and program delivery.
Family Engagement
Build meaningful partnerships with families through respectful, honest, and open communication that supports each child's learning journey.
Administrative Contributions
Assist with budgeting, planning, and policy development as needed to support centre operations and compliance.
Risk Management & Safety
Follow all MACSEYE policies and procedures to ensure children's safety, wellbeing, and program integrity at all times.
Professional Conduct
Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and ethical decision‐making in alignment with relevant legislation, codes of conduct, and organisational values.
Do you have what it takes?
* ACECQA‐approved qualification and registration as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT).
* VIT Full Registration at EMP level, with the capacity to coach and support provisionally registered teachers toward full registration.
* Current certification in First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012).
* Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009).
* Completion of (or willingness to complete) the Department of Education's "Protecting Children: Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations – Early Childhood" course (2024).
* Completion of (or willingness to complete) the "DoFoodSafely" course (Department of Health Victoria) and "All About Allergens for Children's Education and Care" training (Food Allergy Aware).
* Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring staff in an early childhood education setting.
