Our large NSW State Government client provides a diverse range of essential services to reduce criminal activity and enhance protection of the community.
**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a passionate and efficient Executive Assistant to join their team in Parramatta with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 5month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Communications Branch, you will be required to provide a wide range of executive and administrative support services to assist in the achievement of organisational objectives.
In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties:
- Act as first point of contact on behalf of the Executive Director
- Screen and triage incoming calls, answer enquiries in an accurate and timely manner
- Prioritise requests to facilitate the optimal use of the Executive Director's time
- Complete diary and travel management
- Manage, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings and events
- Coordinate meeting room setting up, catering, equipment and overall presentation
- Prepare high level documentation including briefs, meeting minutes, agenda's, correspondence, reports and presentation material
- Gather and collate information to assist in informed decision-making outcomes
- Ordering stationery and maintaining office equipment
- Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to facilitate engagement and contribution of ideas
- Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
- Contribute to development and implementation of innovative improvement strategies to mitigate risk
- Ensure compliance with Departmental policies and procedures
**About you**
To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following:
- Executive or Personal Assistant experience
- Demonstrated supporting at a Executive Director level
- Previous experience working within a complex/sensitive environment
- NSW Public Sectors experience highly advantageous
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS office Suite
- Reliable remote internet access and ability to work remotely from home
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
