Direct message the job poster from Intertek SAI GlobalA qualified 3rd party Food Safety Auditor with experience across multiple Food industries and demonstrated experience of working with HACCP-based Food Safety Programs.You will likely be in the Certification industry already and seek a new role with a larger company and more clients!About The RoleFood Safety Auditors are responsible for the planning and conducting audits in a timely and effective manner, employing the relevant risk assessment standards or assessment criteria and maintaining the audit process rigour and technical integrity, to meet internal and external accreditation requirements.ResponsibilitiesPlan and complete comprehensive process audits and/or product audits, on time and according to relevant standards or competencies.Employ relevant risk assessment standards when planning and conducting audits.Apply knowledge of business improvement techniques, both internally and when auditing client organizations.Coordinate internal and external communications regarding client management needs.Consistently implement Intertek SAI Global policies and procedures.Demonstrate ability to balance attention to detail with high level strategic understanding of clients' businesses.Prioritize competing needs of clients, management and colleagues.Maintain comprehensive customer files including all necessary documentation.Understand and accommodate the unique business needs of the client while protecting the integrity of the SAIG program and the relevant standards or competencies.Selection CriteriaFormal tertiary or secondary qualifications and demonstrable technical competency in Food Technology, Microbiology, Agriculture, Packaging, or related disciplines.A minimum of 8 years full time in the food chain industry, with at least 2 years of work in quality assurance or food safety functions in food production/manufacturing, retailing, inspection/enforcement, or the equivalent.
Where possible, please list the products for the food chain industries you have worked at in your resume.Sound knowledge of Quality and Food Safety fundamentals – (strategy and planning, customers and suppliers, people, processes and products, HACCP based food safety programs, GMP, measurement and analysis).Sound knowledge of multiple food industry sectors (e.g., dairy, baking, food ingredients, ready to eat meals, produce or food packaging manufacturing).Demonstrated experience of working with HACCP Based Food Safety Programs.
Examples include GFSI programs, SQF, FSSC, BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
