Overview


Ten Tops Manager role at Bernardi Group. Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, the Store Manager directly leads the Store Support Lead and Customer Service Assistants. The Store Manager is responsible for total store execution including customer service, merchandising standards, operational procedures, operational controls, people development and driving sales. As Store Manager your first priority is to contribute to the success of your store. This means that you not only deliver in your role as the Store Manager, but you also model leadership behaviours and deliver as a manager on duty. As the Manager on Duty, you deliver results during your assigned time, drive key performance indicators and brand loyalty by leading through your team. The Store Manager is the leader of the management team that sets the tone by embracing and living our values.



Responsibilities

* Responsible for Operational Execution and Total Store Follow Up

* Drives customer experience and sales goals

* Continually recruits, hires, trains and retains assistants; identifies internal staff talent and provides opportunities for career path development

* Responsible for managing the executing overall store stands to be consistent with Brand Standards

* Drives overall profitability for store focusing on total store sales and expense control

* Responsible for ensuring the proper execution of all cash handling policies including opening and closing procedures, daily paperwork, and bank deposits

* Ensure compliance with the Ten Tops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

* Partners with the Operations Manager and Human Resources for employee coaching/counselling, performance documentation and staff relations matters

* Reviews all corporate communications and prioritises/plans accordingly

* Rostering of staff, including roster approval

* Ensure weekly, monthly and annual payroll budgets are managed to plan

* Ensures clean and safe environment for staff and customers including the sales floor, back room, manager's office and bathrooms

* Authorises register functions including post voids, returns and discounts

* Ensures Market Plan and other merchandise directives are executed

* Ensures the execution of the company data integrity process and physical inventory management

* Oversees receiving and stocking procedures to ensure proper follow-through

* Partners with the Operations Manager on store-related issues

* Ensures exceptional customer service is delivered by all staff through training and role modelling

* Holds all staff accountable for their job responsibilities

* Responsible for floor sets and follow up

* Complies with Human Resources policies and procedures

* Performs store maintenance including waste removal, cleaning, and stock room upkeep

* Maintains a strong safety culture at all times, including the safe use of equipment



This job description is not all-inclusive. Additional responsibilities will be determined by the Operations Manager, as dictated by store needs.



Essential Job Functions

* Frequently operate computer and printer, and occasionally operate a cash register

* Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 10 kg and lift or place items up to a height of 1.5–3 m

* Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise

* Frequently position self to kneel, bend and stoop, including in stock room and on the sales floor

* Identify and discern emails and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, staff schedules, and standard operating procedures

* Communicate with customers and staff over the phone and in person, exchanging accurate information

* Move across the sales floor directing staff and assisting customers, and working between the back office and stock room

* Remain stationary and upright for extended periods as required




Qualification And Work Skill Requirements

* Minimum 3 years retail management experience preferred

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to multi-task

* Creative thinking

* Ability to maintain composure under pressure

* Solid numeracy skills
