**The Company**
Our client is a well respected and long established engineering company in Bayswater, Victoria. With 50 years in the industry, our client continues to provide cutting edge manufacturing solutions to industry.
**The Position**
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be required to take full ownership of the metal cutting facility and processes which include sheet metal punch and laser cutting. Key aspects of this role are;
- Supervision of 4 staff
- Plant safety
- Production targets and goals
- Machine efficiency and quality
- A brand current automated cutting cell is currently being installed and this too will be your responsibility
**About you**
You will be a Trade Qualified Fitter / Machinist, CNC setter / operator or programmer. You may come from a sheet metal background but will need the following skills or attributes;
- Strong computing abilities including CAD / CAM
- Experience with turret punch and laser cutting processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Process are improvement skills highly regarded
- Enthusiasm to take control of your own processes
**On Offer**
- This role typically sees advancement to Admin and Management
- On the Job training and support
- Standard hours are 7:30 am - 3:30pm Mon - Fri with some additional hours to facilitate shift hand overs
- Starting salary on offer of **$80,000** + Super going to **$85,000** within 12 months
