The role: Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a PMO Coordinator to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based at our Yarraville VIC site. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll play a key role in coordinating business and capital projects, helping uplift project management capability and governance across Sugar Australia.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities.
Support project planning and governance processes, including Stage Gate, FEL, project charters, and risk documentation.
Coordinate and facilitate governance meetings such as Steering Groups and Gate Reviews.
Partner with Finance to track budgets, analyze financial data, and report on risks and benefits.
Support the development and rollout of project management frameworks, tools, and practices.
Identify and address project delivery risks, helping to get projects back on track.
Build project management capability through coaching and guidance.
Contribute to communication and change management activities for project success.
Qualifications and skills:
Minimum 5 years' experience in project coordination or PMO roles, preferably in manufacturing.
Proficiency in structured project methodologies, risk management, and reporting.
Project Management certification is advantageous.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, highly organized, and collaborative.
Experience supporting change management and communications.
Proficient in MS Project, SmartSheet, Excel.
Financial literacy including cost management and budgeting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
