Principal or Senior Civil Designer – Land Development

Role description
Due to continued work and the commencement of new projects, our Urban Development & Regeneration division is looking for a Senior or Principal Civil Designer to help us ensure project delivery across a range of sectors from major residential, industrial and commercial land/urban development projects to health, education and infrastructure.
Role accountabilities
* Providing quality delivery of the designs using 12D and/or Civil 3D
* Successfully managing, planning, resourcing and completing assigned modelling projects within agreed budgets and deadlines
* Assisting the Project Manager in determining drafting and other design resources required for a project plan, including elements suitable for outsourcing
* Ensuring the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project
* Resolving complex technical drafting and design issues
* Developing and maintaining professional relationships with Project Managers, Design Engineers and drafters within other disciplines
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant engineering degree and/or professional certifications
* At least 5+ years of demonstrated industry experience in the application of 12D and/or Civil 3D software, with in‐depth knowledge of civil design standards
* Experience using various software programs such as 12D, 12D Synergy, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ACC Docs
* Design knowledge in road design, earthworks/grading design and utilities design
* Excellent client focus and strong technical know‐how
* Ability to develop elements of design from concept sketches to detailed drawings
