Disability Service Manager

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead our disability service team in Albury/Wodonga, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centered services to our customers.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will drive standards, capability, and key performance measures while ensuring our customers enjoy the outcomes they seek.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leadership: Inspire, consult, and guide your team to strive and achieve great things
* Culture: Ensure commitment and alignment of all team members to enhancing the lives of people we support in a respectful and accountable manner that upholds their rights, dignity, and optimum capabilities
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build meaningful relationships with people and entities that matter in our quest to deliver what we promise
* Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day service delivery, ensuring adherence to quality, safeguarding, and customer goals
* Performance Management: Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, and use data-driven insights to identify areas for growth and implement corrective actions
* Decisiveness: Meet challenges with proactivity, sound judgment, creativity, and a can-do attitude

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Extensive knowledge and experience in the disability sector with strong command of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguarding Framework
* Proven ability to build workforce capacity and practice capabilities and manage operations effectively through accountability frameworks
* Considerable hands-on experience and emphasis upon successfully transitioning new customers, establishing services, and nurturing growth opportunities
* Strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex people-oriented environments
* Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with participants, families, staff, and sector stakeholders
* Excellent reporting and presentation skills
* Sound financial analysis and budget management skills
* High capacity for multi-tasking

Benefits:

* Tertiary qualification in Disability, Community Services or Social Services or equivalent skills/experience
* Minimum three years' experience in operations leadership in complex care within NDIS-era disability sector
