About the Team Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains.
With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About the Opportunity To support maintenance personnel and project teams in conducting effective maintenance and making appropriate decisions relating to the management of civil assets through effective monitoring of asset performance and condition, to identify improvements to the maintenance strategy and to provide input into the development of the Annual Works Plan.
Responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to: Ensure ARTC's safety and commercial interests are appropriately protected.
Ensure the standard of track and infrastructures continually at a fit for use level.
Ensure field works are undertaken in accordance with ARTC policy, procedures and standards.
Ensure compliance with all mandatory systems and processes.
Ensure fair and equitable workplace practices and behaviours are complied with, creating a discrimination free workplace in accordance with legislative requirements.
Ensure that policies and procedures that relate to human resource management and work health safety and welfare are effectively applied in line with Just and Fair Culture.
Ensure compliance with ARTC's Safety Management System (SMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements, responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
Promote a safety culture within the team to conform to current work.
