We are seeking a passionate Family and Relationship Practitioner to join our inclusive, supportive and collaborative team in our Albury office. This full-time role provides a range of therapeutic interventions for children, youth and adults, including parent education, intake and counselling services.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions for children, young people and adults.
* Provide parent education, intake functions and counselling services.
* Draw on a wide range of counselling theories and practices to support clients across the lifespan.
* Facilitate evidence‑based group programmes and adapt these to suit diverse settings and needs.
* Work collaboratively with families, schools, and community services to support positive outcomes.
Key Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Counselling (minimum diploma), Social Work or Psychology.
* Demonstrated experience applying counselling theories and delivering counselling across the lifespan.
* Experience delivering evidence-based group work in varied contexts.
* Strong understanding of issues contributing to family dysfunction, family breakdown, child abuse, family and domestic violence, homelessness and unemployment.
* Sensitivity to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse clients, and people with disability or disadvantage.
* Ability to obtain, or willingness to obtain: Working With Children Check, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
* Membership or eligibility for membership with: Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and Mental Health Accreditation with AASW.
