EMJC Earthmoving & Plant Hire has been operating since 2008, providing earthmoving plant for hire, heavy haulage and maintenance solutions for the mining, civil and construction industry.
The Opportunity:
With branches located in Perth, Newman, Karratha and an onsite team in Collie, an opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated leader to join the management team in the position of Branch Manager – Newman.
This role is based in Newman and will therefore be a residential or FIFO position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for revenue, growth, profitability and day to day operations of the Newman branch as well as surrounding projects.
Core responsibilities include:
* Direction, management and resourcing of the Newman based team
* Management of all branch WHS matters relating to personnel and plant including planning, accommodation, general HR/IR matters
* Business development and sales including local branding, quotes, tenders and site visits
* Management of Plant Hire Agreements, asset utilisation and plant scheduling
* Ensuring correct and efficient compliance with processes to ensure and enable accurate on and off hires and billings
* Management of branch budget and various reporting requirements
* Provide support across the management team
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in similar industry with strong understanding of earthmoving equipment and some heavy haulage exposure; in depth knowledge of industry standard plant hire arrangements and agreements; strong understanding of WHS laws as well as mine site standards; basic to moderate understanding/exposure to working with mechanical workshops; Pilbara based mine site knowledge and existing relationships; strong communication and reporting skills; ability to manage and adapt to changing demands.
