Job Overview
The Maternal Early Childhood Health Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of pregnant women, mothers, and their children in and around Tennant Creek. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to develop and implement culturally appropriate health services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Development: Introduce and establish the new Maternal Early Childhood Health Program, ensuring an integrated approach to primary healthcare.
2. Team Collaboration: Maintain confidentiality and work as a member of a high-performing multi-disciplinary team.
3. Cultural Sensitivity: Acknowledge and respect Aboriginal values, beliefs, customs, language, and traditional practices.
4. Service Delivery: Contribute to policy and procedure development on child and maternal health home visits.
5. Leadership: Take a leadership role within the Health Centre, assisting the management team to ensure our service is culturally safe and appropriate.
6. Client Consultation: Consult and manage all clients as required.
7. Case Management: Participate in case management and follow-up, either independently or with other healthcare providers.
8. Reporting: Prepare regular financial, performance, and compliance reports for executive and external funding bodies.
