The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the Production Estimating department and lead a team of four Production Estimators.

This role sits at the centre of the business and plays a critical role in connecting Estimating, Construction, Operations and Suppliers to ensure projects progress efficiently, accurately and on schedule.

Beyond managing day‐to‐day estimating operations, you'll be responsible for developing your team, driving accountability, improving processes, identifying risks before they arise and creating an environment where people can perform at their best.

The successful candidate will be a hands‐on leader who enjoys mentoring others, building strong stakeholder relationships and continually looking for ways to improve outcomes across the business.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm, full‐time working in an entirely office‐based role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Production Estimators
• Review estimating outputs, purchase orders and associated documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Drive team performance and achievement of departmental KPIs
• Provide ongoing coaching, training and technical support to team members
• Act as the primary escalation point for the estimating team
• Work closely with Construction and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Identify risks, opportunities and process improvements across the department
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of future team members
• Foster a positive, collaborative and high‐performing team culture

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Production Estimating Manager, Estimating Manager or Estimating Team Leader within the residential home building industry
• Proven track record of leading, mentoring and developing estimating teams
• Extensive Production Estimating experience within the home building sector
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‐building capabilities
• Ability to drive both performance outcomes and people development
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
• Proactive, solutions‐focused and highly accountable approach
• Strong understanding of residential construction processes and delivery
• Experience using Databuild and Framework will be highly regarded
• A genuine passion for leadership, coaching and continuous improvement
