About The Position
The Planning Environment Regulatory Services (PERS) Business Improvement Coordinator position is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of the Ranger Unit and PERS Business Officers, and provides operational support to the Planning, Environment and Regulatory Services team by overseeing effective business processes, continuous improvement and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership to the Ranger and Regulatory Services Unit and PERS Business Officers
Interpret and apply relevant legislation, including the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act, Local Government Act and Companion Animal Act, providing expert advice and support to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Manage and respond to customer complaints and service requests
Identify and implement improvements to business processes, systems, and workflows, driving efficiencies, enhancing service delivery and delivering sustainability objectives
Ensure PERS teams are provided with support for community education and engagement programs
Undertake analysis work related to improvement activities or plan development, including data gathering and analysis, recognition of insufficient or false data, and presentation to a stakeholder audience
Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of strategic and operational plans
Assist in managing the Ranger and Regulatory Services Unit budget

About You
Tertiary qualifications relevant to the responsibilities of the position or extensive relevant experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties required at this level
Demonstrated ability to analyse technical problems and identify and implement appropriate solutions
Demonstrated experience in project management and managing change
Demonstrated ability and commitment to providing quality customer service
Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, and to negotiate outcomes and resolve conflict
Experience managing and mentoring highly effective teams to achieve organisational objectives
What We Offer
Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week
Salary from $93,352 to $107,079 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
