About the Role
Permanent, full-time position servicing the Toowoomba and Darling Downs Region. You will ensure equipment is maintained to the required standard while completing all tasks.
Responsibilities
Maintain fire systems to a high standard.
Carry out repairs, alterations and upgrades on fire alarm, EWIS, special hazard and emergency lighting systems.
Install new systems in line with Australian Standards.
Conduct periodic inspections and testing to AS****, AS**** and AS**** requirements.
Maintain strict WHS compliance, company workmanship standards and confidentiality.
Complete all data sheets, documentation and technical reports.
Identify and report faults during testing and inspections.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers.
Keep tools, knowledge and product understanding up to date through ongoing and supportive training.
Support installation supervisors as required.
Recognise and generate any sales leads for future follow-up.
Qualifications
QBCC Licence Electrician or Fire Alarm Technician.
Communication Cabling Licence preferred.
Minimum 2 years experience installing, testing or maintaining fire protection systems.
Strong understanding of electrical and fire installation techniques.
Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
Current QLD Open Driver Licence.
Ability to work independently with strong time management and attention to detail.
